The second (after Not I) album of Zubel’s music under the KAIROS label comprises, apart from the eponymous Cleopatra’s Songs, also the recent Double Battery and Violin Concerto – three large-scale compositions performed by three outstanding ensembles: Klangforum Wien, Ensemble InterContemporain, and Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej (New Music Orchestra). Festival Cordes sur Ciel was cancelled due to coronavirus but premiere of new piece “Friction” commissioned by Linea Ensemble will take place in the Internet. It will be available from July 21st till the end of the year 2020.
