The play “The Star” is kind of inner monologue; it is monodrama of an actress who wants to establish her identity, who tries to remind herself of parts played beforehand, gestures, words and fragments of roles already forgotten. “The Star” is a play about love, about distance, decline, artificiality, suffering, self-sacrifice, rebellion, regeneration, steadfastness, yearning, memory, agreement and disagreement, about foolishness, about dresses, about forms which come apart and grow old, about actresses, and about all of us.
