The French Académie Charles Cros awarded the ‘Coup de coeur 2021’ in the category of ‘Contemporary Music’ to the CD POLISH HEROINES OF MUSIC, which includes my orchestral piece In the Shade of an Unshed Tear.

    We feel powerless in the face of the harsh war, but this does not make us stay silent. Charity concerts for Ukraine: on 20th March at Polish Radio Concert Studio; on 14th April at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw.  

  The spectacle Purification, a setting of composition Streets of a Human City, will be shown on 4th December as part of the Divine Comedy festival. It had its first preview at the Sacrum Profanum festival and will be premièred on 8th January 2022 at Łaźnia Nowa Theatre in Cracow.

A new CD in the SOUNDS series under the ANAKLASIS label comes out on 3rd September. Memory of Bronze, written for the carillon of St Catherine’s Church in Gdańsk and released on the album CONTEMPORARY CARILLON, will have its world première on 5th September in Gdańsk.

ElettroVoce’s 20th anniversary concert will be held at Wrocław’s National Forum of Music as part of the Musica Electronica Nova festival. The programme comprises, apart from the duo’s own compositions, also three premieres of new works written specially for this occasion. NFM, 27th May at 8 p.m              

This documentary (‘Słowa jak dźwięki’), produced in the context of work on the opera Bildbeschreibung, can be watched on VOD  online platform. The film is also available as part of the recent Blu-Ray release of this opera.  

The CD Cleopatra’s Songs released by Kairos has been nominated for the Fryderyk Award of the Phonographic Academy in two categories: Best Polish Album Recorded Abroad and Most Outstanding Recording of Polish Music
