During the Little Warsaw Autumn, the hologram opera for children Catless Smile will have its premiere, based on Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass and Alice in Wonderland. The opera produced in cooperation with Sema Studio and SWR Experimental Studio in Freiburg will be presented from 16 to 24 September at the Gulliver Puppet Theater in Warsaw. On May 29, the new Anaklasis album with Oresteia will be released. The trilogy of ancient Greek tragedies by Aeschylus is interpreted by Danuta Stenka. The performers include: Michał Sławecki, Tomasz Piluchowski, Anna Zawisza, and the Polish Radio Choir conducted by Szymon Wyrzykowski. ANAKLASIS 2023

Composer.pl – composers residency program extends its formula. The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice joined the Partners of Icelandic residencies for young Polish composers!

On January 25th 2023 Vilnius began celebrating its 700th anniversary. The project “Music fir Vilnius” is inviting seven contemporary composers to create works dedicated to the city: Toshio Hosokawa, Heiner Goebbels, Ivan Fedele, Anna Korshun, Agata Zubel, Beat Furrer, Michael Gordon.

Every year, at the end of the Donaueschinger Musiktage festival, the SWR Symphonieorchester Orchestra Prize is awarded. This year, it was awarded to Agata Zubel’s piece “Outside the Realm of Time” for a hologram soloist and orchestra.
